From the press release:
The fifth installment of Bulmers Live at Leopardstown takes place this coming Thursday, July 15th, with legendary Irish songwriter and performer PAUL BRADY, taking to the stage with his band following an evening of exciting horseracing action!
Thousands of music fans who might not have been entirely au fait with the ins and outs of placing a wager on the nags are enjoying the easy to understand betting guide inside each race card, presented by Leopardstown’s very own rock ‘n’ roll legend, Rock Horse, who has been spreading the Leopardstown love all around Dublin over the past few weeks!
If you see him out and about, just nab a photo of him and post it to the Leopardstown Facebook page and you could win free tickets and a host of other Live at Leopardstown goodies!
There’s absolutely no need to have an encyclopedic knowledge of betting or a handle on racing jargon! Rock Horse will help you when you get there, whether you want to throw €2 on the tote or you’re going all out with a €50 flutter with one of the bookies! It’s really simple and Rock Horse does his best to explain how the odds work!
And where else would you get to see your favourite band or artist perform a full hour and a half concert for €15 and have a chance to make that money back before they even take to the stage.
The Live at Leopardstown DJ’s are also on hand throughout the evening and into the night, playing the best indie and chart hits for your listening pleasure!
And don’t forget, Leopardstown in on the Luas green line and the racecourse has dedicated shuttle buses running to and from the racecourse and the Sandyford Luas stop! Plus there’s a huge car park at the racecourse and for those using taxis, there are literally hundreds queuing up after the concerts to take you home, so there is never any waiting around.
It’s music and racing rolled into one and it’s a great night value out for everyone! Just log on to http://www.leopardstown.com or call 01 2890500.

Thanks a million to Emma and Jane for the competition.
Paul Brady is in conversation - and performing a few tunes - with John Kelly tonight in Liberty Hall, part of the Dublin Writers Festival.
What makes a great song – the lyric, the melody or something altogether more elusive?
Exploring this fertile terrain through words and live performance in the first of two specially curated songwriting events is one of Ireland’s most prolific and enduring artists – Paul Brady.
Now, in conversation with writer and broadcaster John Kelly – punctuated by a personal selection of live acoustic material – Brady shares his thoughts on the art of songwriting: key songs, major influences, inspiration, co-writing and collaboration…
Through my volunteering with the festival, I’ve arranged a couple of things for you.
Firstly a 2-for-1 ticket code you can use to book tickets online today - it’s DDDWF10 and you should enter it as a ‘Coupon Code’.
Secondly I have some pairs of tickets to give away to fans. All you have to do is tweet me - I’m @darraghdoyle - with the words “I WANT TO SEE PAUL BRADY” and the tickets could be yours. First come first served.
