Opinion polls show an overwhelming majority of Irish people support a right to health. What the opinion polls do not show is how these changes could be made.
In this, the second instalment in a series of videos produced by Amnesty International Ireland, the organisation invites you to hear some novel ideas as to how Ireland’s health service could be improved.
Among them are well known faces like Karl Spain, Eric Lalor, Colin Murphy, Peter Coonan, Eleanor Tiernan,Brían Gleeson, and members of Irish band Delorentos.

Colm O’Gorman, Executive Director of Amnesty International Ireland, said: “Our first video was a great success, but this one is a little bit different. It is focused on solutions.
“We know that the overwhelming majority of Irish people support legislation to guarantee equal access to healthcare, and many of them have ideas – imaginative ideas - about how to achieve this.
“The debate about healthcare reform is too important to be left to the experts. It’s time for some outside the box thinking and we want to share these ideas as a way of contributing to the debate.”
